Choosing plants for your hanging vases
We talked about this in the previous post: daisies, begonias, geraniums, and petunias – but also plants like ferns and ivy. These are our recommendations for hanging pots and wall planters, since they create stunning cascades.
Plants and flowers that will be really easy to take care of.
But for those who’d rather hang up a plant and then forget about it, we can recommend plants that don’t need a lot of care, durable plants that are also bang on trend for this summer, like cacti or succulents.
Water and light for plants in hanging pots or planters
The first basic rule is: if your hanging pots are going to add a decorative touch to a bare corner and they won’t be receiving much care and attention, then place them in areas that are easy to get to – even if they don’t need much care, remember that you do have to do some things. So place your pots where you can reach and handle them easily. To let leaves and flowers grow and flourish, then the soil needs to receive a good deal of water, and the pot needs to be turned each time to guarantee that the petals receive a correct, even amount of sunlight.
If you decide to place the pots outside, then always be careful of direct sunlight. Also be careful when choosing hanging pots because they have a tendency to be more exposed to wind and weather than plants in pots that are placed on the ground.
For indoor pots, on the other hand, choose somewhere near to a window or in any case where there is a good deal of virtual light.
