Decorating with a green thumb: anti-stress plants
Although its name is not very familiar, Sansevieria is one of the most common decorative plants in our homes and offices. Some studies have demonstrated the beneficial qualities of this plant, which is able to purify the air in the environments where it is placed. This has even been confirmed by NASA, which has shown how Sansevieria, in addition to absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen, neutralises the volatile chemical substances present in the air.
To counteract stress and create environments that promote wellness and relaxation, we can take advantage of the aromatherapy released naturally by some scented plants. All we need is to let our green thumb get to work, pick a small or medium pot and create a small aromatic composition. Various studies show that good scents convey pleasant feelings of satisfaction and well-being to our organism. For these reasons, fragrant flowers and plants can be very useful both in the home and in the office.
Which are the most useful aromas in the workplace? According to the principles of aromatherapy:
- The scent of roses fosters good moods and reduces the effects of stress.
- Jasmine promotes good moods and optimism.
- Lavender provides vitality and enthusiasm.
